A very famous actor of the 1950s and 60s, Orson Bean, has died at 91.
Actor Orson Bean was hit and killed by a vehicle in Venice, Friday night; a friend has told KABC. He was 91 years old.

Police Say
Los Angeles police say that he was walking in the area of Venice Boulevard and Shell Avenue when a vehicle clipped him. Other witnesses attempted to warn a second driver, but he also hit him.
According to the police, he died with the second collision. Both the drivers stayed at the scene.
Los Angeles Police Department Capt said that the car coming westbound had not seen him and clipped him, and he went down. A second vehicle was coming up, people trying to slow him down distracted it. And then a second collision occurred and that one killed him.
Police did not recognize the pedestrian, but a friend of the actor who witnessed the accident confirmed to Eyewitness News that vehicles have struck and killed Bean.
Police say the initial indication is this was just a terrible accident. It appears Bean had come from between two vehicles when he was crossing the street, and the drivers did not see him.
He was the famous actor of the 1950s and 60s and he made more than a hundred appearances on television. He had appeared in films like “Miracle on 34th Street” and “Being John Malkovich” and TV shows like “The Bold and the Beautiful.” and “Modern Family.” and also appeared in the film “The Equalizer 2” in 2018.
His wife Alley Mills, best known as the mother in the show “The Wonder Years.”. Witnesses say she was at the accident. The collision occurred in front of the Pacific Resident Theatre, where both Mills and Bean were company members. Friends say Bean was crossing the busy road, where his wife was working.
