Cody, Groves’ brother, said news on social media. He posted the news of the death of her sister in which he said Cady Groves’s cause of death was unknown. Now, he updated.

He wrote on Twitter that he hated that he even had to do that, but apparently the world and internet were a cluster of twisted misinformation. In his original post, he had stated he had no information to try and prevent that, but to expel rumors, he would provide an update.
There had been no indication of foul play or self-harm, the medical examiner had completed the autopsy. Simply told, Cady Groves had died of natural causes.
Last fall, she had some medical problems, and his best guess at that point until further testing was complete was that they had resurfaced.
He requested to respect her name and family before sharing information that had not come directly from there.
He added that Cady had been looking forward to the next few months and the release of her new album. His latest in-depth conversation (since most had been witty banter) had been her sending him songs to critique and give feedback on.
