CenturyLink suspension was blamed on the demolition of popular websites and apps

CenturyLink said the power outage that had affected two continents on Sunday morning has been resolved.

The widespread CenturyLink outage on Sunday triggered massive outages in dozens of websites and services. Including Discord, Hulu, Feedly, and Xbox Live reportedly.

Since then, CenturyLink service has been restored.

On Sunday, Cloudflare was identified as the cause of the service interruption. Cloudflare is a network infrastructure and website security provider that can help maintain the normal operation of the website.

According to a report in The Verge. Dozens of websites were affected. Including Discord, Hulu, Feedly, and Xbox Live.

“This is not an outage specific to Cloudflare. Level 3 / CenturyLink is the cause of the outage that affects many Internet services. Including Cloudflare,” San Francisco-based Cloudflare said in a statement. The company stated that although its automation system first discovered widespread network problems. Manual intervention by CenturyLink was required because the outage affected all data centers connected using CenturyLink.

CenturyLink acquired Level 3 Communications for US$34 billion in 2017, which is a provider of primary core transmission. IP, voice, video, and content delivery for medium and large Internet operators.

CenturyLink experienced a major outage in December 2018:

When a malfunctioning network card cut off telephone and Internet services for consumers and business users. Including 911 services in certain states. Some customers lose connection for two days.

The July Cloudflare outage temporarily disrupted public cloud networks, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. The interruption was due to a router error on its global backbone.
