A divided federal court on Wednesday has ordered the dismissal of the case against the Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn. He had a long-running court fight that had taken a long stretch. The included investigation about the 2016 Trump campaign about the checks and balances about the judiciary.

Flynn has twice pleaded about lying to the FBI about his conversation with the Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the presidential transition. The Justice Department has moved from last month to dismiss the case against him. The trial Judge Emmet Sullivan of the DC District didn’t act immediately; instead, he said he wanted to weigh the department’s arguments into at least July.

If the case remains unchallenged, then the court appeal ruling exonerates Flynn after he sought to change his plea.

Flynn’s case has become a touchstone for president Trump. His supporters have criticized the FBI Russia investigation and special counsel Robert Mueller’s criminal prosecution of the Trump campaign associates.

Even after the appeals decision, Trump and his supporters have decided to criticize the investigation held against the president in power. The investigation is related to Flynn. Flynn team made a public handwritten note on Wednesday that highlighted the Vice- President Joe Biden’s comment on Flynn in early January 2017 seeking again to delegitimize the Obama administration’s discussion of the investigation.

Trump’s Reaction:

Trump just tweeted about the ruling “Great”. The decision has been discussed in the Oval Office ahead of the meeting with his Polish counterpart. Donald Trump brought up the Flynn unprompted, claiming that his former security officer has been exemplary, and he wanted “I want to congratulate him.” Jim Jordan, the Republican, also touted the Court’s decision.

Trump has been in hot water due to his political stance. Trump is highly talked about because of his non-immigrant stance, and his intolerance against the foreigners.
