Spider-Man: No Way Home

The new trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has arrived, thrilling fans worldwide.

Peter Parker’s identity was revealed towards the end of the last Spider-Man film, courtesy of Mysterio’s actions, and the world now knows he is Spider-Man. Now, as he struggles to maintain control over his out-of-control fandom (and the controversy that accompanies it), Peter seeks assistance from Doctor Strange — but the latter’s spell goes awry, trapping Parker and Strange in a multiverse with disastrous consequences.

Now, Tom Holland’s Parker must face off against villains from previous Spider-Man films, including Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin.

The following is Marvel’s official synopsis: “For the first time in Spider-cinematic Man’s history, our friendly neighbourhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his superhero duties into conflict with his everyday life and jeopardising those he cares about most.”

“When he enlists Doctor Strange’s assistance in reclaiming his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, unleashing the most powerful villains to ever face a Spider-Man in any universe.” Now, Peter will face his greatest test yet, one that will forever alter not only his own future, but also the future of the Multiverse.”

Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, and Marisa Tomei reprise their roles from previous Spider-Man films, with Benedict Cumberbatch taking on the role of Doctor Strange.

Jon Watts directed the film, which was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Kevin and Feige Amy Pascal produced the film, along with executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, JoAnn Perritano, Rachel O’Connor, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach.

Spider-Man Release Date

On December 17, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in theatres.

The alternate trailer for No Way Home has fans believing that missing Spider-Man actors have been edited out.

A deleted scene from the alternate Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has fans believing Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were cut from the main teaser.

While the new trailer features Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard, Sandman, and Doc Ock, the other two Spider-Men are conspicuously absent – long-running rumours have suggested that both actors would reprise their roles as the web slinger in the film.

However, the Brazilian version of the trailer implies that the other two heroes were omitted. When Spidey goes up against the villains at the end of the footage, pay close attention to how Lizard appears to be punched by an invisible force. This does not occur in the main trailer version. Take a look at a video of the moment below.

Could this be Maguire’s or Garfield’s Spider-Man saving the day? Time will tell: Garfield recently denied his involvement in the threequel for the third time. However, given that Holland’s Spidey is currently up against three villains, it makes sense for him to have some backup here.

While the trailer does not feature any other Spider-Men, it does confirm that we will see an entire rogues gallery of Spidey villains – and Doc Ock appears to be on Peter Parker’s side this time.

We’ll have to wait and see if Maguire and Garfield are truly in Spider-Man: No Way Home when the film is released.
