According to the New York Police Department, a 24-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested following an attack on WWE wrestler Seth Rollins during a live television broadcast.
According to the NYPD, Elisah Spencer raced after WWE Wrestler Seth Rollins and attacked him during Monday Night Raw at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
According to police, Spencer left his seating section at 9:20 p.m., hopped the metal barricade, and assaulted Rollins, who sustained lip swelling. Following a Raw segment with wrestler Finn Balor, Rollins, one of WWE’s top performers and a former WWE champion, was going back toward the entranceway.
When WWE Wrestler Seth Rollins, whose real name is Colby Lopez, reached the top of the ramp, the attacker charged at full speed and brutally tackled him to the ground. The two struggled briefly on the ground before security and officials intervened. Rollins, seeking to maintain his character, could go back on his power once the assailant had been apprehended.

The altercation was the first broadcast live on television, but WWE cameras swiftly turned away when it became clear that it wasn’t part of the script.
Observers recorded the event on their iPhones and shared it on social media. Spencer is being charged with an attempted breach of arts and cultural affairs (for disrupting a live athletic event), as well as attempted assault on Rollins, according to the NYPD (as reported by ESPN).

The NYPD verified in the newspaper that the incident occurred about 21:20 local time, at which point Spencer hopped the metal wall that divides fans from the action before striking Rollins.
“WWE takes its performers’ safety extremely seriously,” WWE said in a statement to ESPN. “The person who assaulted Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be punished to the maximum extent of the law.” According to the NYPD,

The assailant was quickly overpowered by numerous individuals, including fellow wrestlers who rushed to Hart’s aid. Hart, who was 61 at the time, was unharmed.
After the fan was apprehended, the induction ceremony proceeded, with Hart resuming his remarks. Despite experiencing swelling to his lip, the wrestler is alleged to have rejected medical assistance and was able to walk away from the event once subdued the assailant.
