Harriet Harris Stars plays Eleanor Roosevelt in Barrington’s virtual Eleanor reading from September 4. Mark St. Germain’s play was filmed in a Massachusetts venue without an audience.

Tony Award winner Harriet Harris played Eleanor Roosevelt in Mark St. Germain’s new play “Harriet” on September 4th and 5th. Henry Strahm, filmed on the Boyd Quinson main stage of Barrington Stage without an audience.

Harry, winner of Tony’s Tholy Modern Millie, has previously appeared in the Royal Family of Broadway and Berkshire of Sweeney Todd Conference venues. She played the former first lady in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series Hollywood. She once again collaborated with the creators of the series in the upcoming “Tricky” streaming service.

The company is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and is one of the first regional theaters to show live works since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

Another streaming work of the company-“Three Views” by Jeffrey Hatcher  Will be launched from September 23 to 26.

Mark St. Germain (playwright) has written the plays “Floyd’s Last” (Broadway League Award), “Camping with Henry and Tom”, “Disabled Typhoid Mary”, and becoming Dr. Ruth. 18 of his plays are published by Samuel French, Dramatist Drama Service Company, and Broadway Drama Press.

 Mark co-wrote the script for Carroll Ballard’s Warner Bros. movie “Duma.” He directed and co-produced the documentary “My Dog, Unconditional Love Story”, which included Richard Gere, Glenn Kloster and Billy Collins.

The titles of the TV show include “The Cosby Show” and “Crime and Punishment” by Dick Wolf. He wrote the award-winning children’s book “Three Cups”. He is a member of the Dramatists Association, Eastern Writers Association, and an assistant artist on the Barrington stage.
