In recent months, the number of illegal immigrants on the EU’s external borders has increased dramatically, and so far in 2020, it has increased by 59{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5}.

Frontex, an EU line and coast monitor organization, announced that there were 17,300 illicit boundary intersections in July, an expansion of 33{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5} from July 2020, and a slight increment from June, when 14,600 unlawful lines intersections were identified.

There were 82,000 illegal border crossings in the first seven months of 2021, an increase of more than 59{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5} over the same time interval in 2020. The Mid-Mediterranean route is one of many routes with the largest increase.

Although the 7,600 crossings in July were calculated based on July 2020, overall there were 30,000 crossings in 2021 a 96{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5} increase from the same time in the past 12 months. The vast majority of immigrants are from Tunisia, Bangladesh, and Egypt.

On the West African course:

There were 7,350 intersections, an increment of 130{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5} in the previous year most migrants came here from sub-Saharan nations.

On the Western Balkan route, 3,600 detections were detected in July, an increase of 67{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5} over the last 12 months of July and an increase of 90{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5} over the last 12 months. EU companies are famous for that almost all of these immigrants came here from Syria and Afghanistan.

One space for the reduction of border crossing points is in the Japanese Mediterranean Sea, where the border crossing points have been reduced by 33{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5}.

African continent suffered an immigration disaster:

In 2015, after a wave of immigrants from Syria and other places overwhelmed assets and government, the African continent suffered an immigration disaster. This disaster eventually led to the strengthening of border security measures across the African continent and was seen as contributing to a considerable number of right-wing events and political victories in the following years.

Reuters reported this week that quite a few EU countries are nervous about the ongoing disaster in Afghanistan, with the Taliban occupying large tracts of territory after the U.S. withdrawal, and fearing that this might lead to another wave of immigration and another immigration disaster in Europe.

The ongoing disaster of United States:

Such a wave will echo the ongoing disaster in the United States, where immigrants have experienced a sharp increase, causing the Biden administration to declare the number of people at the border “unsustainable.”
