Johnny Depp admitted to extreme drinking but he refused to accept the allegations:

Johnny Depp admitted to extreme drinking, used drugs, and disordering hotel rooms, but he refused to accept the allegation of his ex-wife Amber. Heard that he was aggressive against her in the fight against the Sun, accusing him of “beating his wife”.

Depp’s lawyer said that Hilde’s allegations of violence were “invented”, and he firmly denied that he had ever committed violence against her.

On the opening day of the three-week trial, the 57-year-old Hollywood actor disputed Heard’s claims of domestic violence after marriage.

Johnny Depp admitted that he is alcoholic:

At one stage, Depp admitted that he spent more than US$30,000 per month on wine before recovering.

However, he added:

“Yes, I drink too much, but drinking too much does not mean you cannot control… violence is not what I want.”

Spokesperson point of view:

A spokesperson for Heard said in a statement in court before the trial:

“Amber has never been required to carry out these lawsuits. Amber obtained an injunction against domestic violence against Depp as early as 2016 and tried to continue his life.

“It was Johnny Depp who filed a lawsuit against a British newspaper and dragged it to a British court to provide evidence about the most painful moments of her life.”

The hearing continues.
