February 27th, 2020 is another school day for many children in mid-Michigan, though fewer districts are closed than there was the day before.
A blast of winter weather has led to several southeast Michigan school districts staying closed Thursday, February 27th.
A post on the district’s Facebook page said that Kearsley Community Schools would be closed the next day, Thursday, February 27th. Due to dangerous road conditions.

A special weather statement in the National Weather Service notes rising northerly winds will bring about colder atmosphere to the region, with temperatures expected to fall throughout the 20s Wednesday night.
In the statement, the service said that that along with falling snow was allowing snow to stick to road surfaces. Light to occasionally moderate snow would persist through the evening rush. Snowfall rates might reach a half-inch per hour.
The National Weather Service also says that 5 to 6 inches of snow fell across the region from Tuesday night through Wednesday. You can see the complete list ABC12. Here is the list:
