Miley Cyrus’s Plastic Hearts is the number 1 Rock Album in the US. Plastic Hearts hits No. 1 Rock Album, smashing Pumpkins, and Billie Joe Armstrong, and claims the top spot. Miley Ray Cyrus recently tweeted on her social media account, thanking everyone listening and relating to this album.

The American singer, actress, and record producer wrote, “5 weeks #1 on the rock charts #PlasticHearts. Seems like a hard time to be ‘happy’ with so much sadness surrounding all of us but the support being shown to this record can’t be overlooked. My utmost gratitude to everyone listening and relating to this album.”

Smiley Miley, who had become Miley Cyrus now, with her new album Plastic Hearts, put a wrecking ball to her image as a pop star. She reinvented herself as a formidable rock frontwoman. And currently, Miley has a number 1 album to show for it.

About Miley Cyrus’s Plastic Hearts

Plastic Hearts is the Cyrus’ seventh album. It was released at the top of Billboard’s Rock Albums chart with 60,000 units sold. Miley has become the fourth solo woman to go number 1 on the chart the last year. Cyrus joined Fiona Apple (Fetch the Bolt Cutters), Hayley Williams (Petals for Armor), and Alanis Morrissette (Such Pretty Forks in the Road).

It is the first time since 2012 that at least four women have gone No. 1 in a single year, according to Billboard notes. As she was claiming Number 1 on the rock chart, Cyrus bested AC/DC’s Power Up, which had helped the first place over the two weeks.

Plastic Hearts was officially released on the 27th of November 2020. And it was inspired by Britney Spears and Metallica features collaborations with Stevie Nicks, Billy Idol, and Joan Jett, and includes covers of Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’ and The Cranberries’ “Zombie”. In a review of the album, Katie Moulton said Plastic Hearts was Cyrus’ most successful pastiche yet.
