Nawaz Sharif’s passport to be canceled on the 16th of February 2021, told by A senior Official of the Interior Ministry.

Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed told Dawn news that February 16th was in fact the expiry date of Nawaz’s diplomatic passport.

In a clear indication (Islamabad) that the government is in no mood of renewing the diplomatic passport.

His passport is close to the expiry date but the interior minister on Wednesday declared Nawaz’s passport to be canceled.

He said, “the former prime minister’s passport would be canceled on February 16 next year.”

The Interior Minister was talking to reporters during his second visit to the capital development and answered their questions.

The minister has been saying for many days that he is yet to examine when Nawaz’s passport is set to expire.

He was asked with a question, who was next in line after the arrest of PML-N parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Khawaja Asif.

A day after Khawaja Asif got arrested, Nawaz Sharif said that he is 100{7d6bb1f761e691f027164c9fe6d1ebbc4659a250013ce39dc45a15ede39dbac5} sure that Imran khan is behind his arrest.

Sheikh Rashid replied to the reporters by saying, “let me give you a piece of news. We will cancel Nawaz’s passport on Feb 16.”

London immigration law firm on Nawaz’s passport to be canceled

It was seen by a UK immigration law expert saying that it will not affect his London stay.

They said according to the leading London immigration law firm, there are several options.

The law says there are many other options for the former prime minister to continue living in London.

Nawaz can stay in London even when his passport has expired, canceled, or revoked by the Pakistan Government.

Hateem Ali, Head of immigration at the leading London law firm GSC Solicitors LLP, said,

“The UK Home Office, in any event, allows those on medical visas normally up to 18 months because he is receiving treatment in the UK”

The immigration law expert declared that Mr. Sharif could claim asylum potentially if he wants to.
