What happened to Oscar De La Hoya?
Oscar De La Hoya is hospitalized due to COVID-19, although he was fully vaccinated, confirmed on Friday.
The famous Boxer shared a video on his Instagram account. The look on his face was devastated, “What is the chance of me getting covid, I’m fully vaccinated and have been taking care of myself, and this kicked my ass.”
The video shared along with the caption which said; You wanted to hear from me, despite being fully vaccinated, I got Covid, sorry, am not going to fight next weekend.” He also wrote, “I am currently hospitalized and getting treatment. I’ll be back soon; stay safe.
De La Hoya, a 48-year-old boxer, retired in 2009, but he planned for his comeback fight, scheduled on Sep 11 in a match against UFC champion Vitor Belfort at the Staples Center.

Former boxing champion De La Hoya and Former UFC champion Faceoff are scheduled at the Triller Fight Club. Triller has been advertising the faceoff at 50 $ per view.
Former Boxer was preparing this comeback since last months, and he wrote about this on Twitter once.

Oscar De La Hoya and Vitor Belfor Faceoff canceled or not?
De La Hoya is currently not able to fight right now but, the promotion already has a backup plan. Another boxer Evander Holyfield is decided to replace De La Hoya in the faceoff.
Holyfield has not been in the ring for the past ten years. It will be the comeback fight of Holyfield. Moreover, Triller fight Club plans to relocate the event from LA to Florida or California Athletic Commission but only when the state gave license to 58 years old Holyfield for the event.
