Pop Smoke, a rising rapper, was fatally killed in a home in the Hollywood Hills early Wednesday, police confirmed.
Someone from the East Coast called the police and reported that many suspects had entered their friend’s home in Los Angeles around 5 am. The police reacted immediately. The person stated that at least one person was wearing a mask and was carrying a gun, said LAPD Capt.
When police arrived at his home in the 2000 block of Hercules Drive, they found the 20 years old boy. The boy’s name is Bashar Barakah Jackson. The police found him with gunshot wounds. Police sent him to the hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.
Officers arrested various people inside the house, but the police freed him later. Two to six suspects fled the scene and had not been found, Lurie said.
Republic Records said that they were devastated by the unexpected and tragic loss of Pop Smoke. Their prayers and thoughts went out to his family, fans, and friends, as they mourned that loss together.
The rapper, best known for singles “Dior” and “Welcome to the Party,” issued his first mixtape “Welcome to the Woo” last July. He has collaborated with artists including Travis Scott and Nicki Minaj. This month, he released his second mixtape ,” Meet the Woo 2,”.
Its second mixtape debuted at No. 7 on Billboard’s Best 200 chart. Pop Smoke was going to start a month-long North American tour on 2nd March and then perform in England in April.

The death of Pop Smoke has impacted several figures within the music industry, including Nicki Minaj. He had recently collaborated to make a remix of his hit ‘Welcome to the Party’ with her. Nicki Minaj said that the Bible told her that envy was as cruel as a grave. She could not believe it. Rest in peace, Pop.
