Robin Thede Signs Overall Deal With Warner Bros. TV (A black lady sketch show)

The acclaimed “Black Lady Sketch Show” by Thede has been nominated for three Emmy Awards. Also including outstanding variety sketch series and Angela Bassett comedy series Guest actress and outstanding director of Dime Davis’s diverse series.

The show is co-produced by Thede and Issa Rae. It is the premiere of the show and is written exclusively by black women. Accompanied by core actors Ashley Nicole Black, Gabrielle Dennis, and Quinta Brunson. The first season includes guest stars Laverne Cox, Lena Waithe, Patti LaBelle, Loretta Divine, etc.

The host of the “Black Lady Sketch Show” will create a new project for the studio:

Robin Thede takes root. The Emmy-nominated work “A Black Lady Sketch Show” nominated by HBO has signed a multi-year exclusive overall deal with Warner Bros. TV Group. Under her first ever multi-year agreement, Thede will develop new content for streaming, advanced and basic cable and broadcast networks.

The transaction expanded Thede’s relationship with Warner Media, for which she created. It executed and produced HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show and starred. The series lists Issa Rae as the executive producer and will perform on an outstanding variety show at the Emmys next month.

Thede is currently writing the topic “Fashion Black” for HBO Max and Michael B. Jordan’s “Outlier Society” banner. She recently appeared in the fourth season of HBO’s Insecurities and Justin Simian’s thriller “Bad Hair.”

The latter made its debut on Hulu on. Her work also includes the critically acclaimed BET show “The Fiasco with Robin Ted” and serves as the lead writer and correspondent for the Comedy Center “Night Show with Larry Wilmore”.

Thede is currently working with Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society to create functionally stylish black for HBO Max with Christa Gatewood. She recently appeared in the latest season of HBO’s Insecurity, as well as in Justin Simien’s thriller “Bad Hair,”. Which will debut on Hulu on October 23 With Robin Thede (Robin Thede). Ted also served as the lead writer and reporter for Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show” with Larry Wilmore. And was the lead writer for the 2016 White House Press Association dinner.
