Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performed for almost twelve minutes on Sunday night in Miami. They are the first Latinas to lead the Super Bowl Halftime show. Jennifer Lopez wore a feathered cape that showed the Puerto Rican flag one side and US flag on the other side.
She removed the feathered cape up to reveal the Puerto Rico side as a children’s choir, and her daughter Emme Muñiz joined her to sing Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA.”
After some time, Demi Lovato performed the national anthem. Lopez’s performance was fantastic, particularly on a night when Mike Bloomberg and Donald Trump had also aired campaign ads.
Two Latin American superstar Bad Bunny and j Balvin were the special guests of that night.
The performance started with Shakira. She came with a big appearance in a glittery, red dress and wonderfully demonstrated what a Renaissance lady she. She began with her 2009 hit, “She Wolf,” and she was playing with the electric guitar during her 2014 hit “Empire.” Then with her 2001’s Whenever, Wherever. Bad Bunny sang his latest hit song Callaita, as Shakira dances. She also played her sexy pop song Hips Don’t Lie.
Then Jennifer Lopez came with a black leather bodysuit. Where Jennifer sang “Get Right” and “Jenny From the Block.”
Shakira and Lopez invited J Balvin and Bad Bunny, who presented their Spanish version of Cardi B’s “Mi Gente” and “I Like It,” respectively.
The women finished the impressive show by dancing and embracing each other and no doubt, it is one of the best Super Bowl halftimes.
