Torvill and Dean are gaining new fans day by day as the mentors turned judges of Dancing on ice.
As seen in the recent tweet of Cheryl Baker, she praised these ice dancers, Olympic and world champions by saying,
“Oh! my word. Watching Torvill and Dean dancing on a frozen Alaska lake was absolutely Flippin’ magical.”
Besides, she wrote, “They’re both mid-sixties folks. So, in awe of you both.”

Their much-performed Bolero routine won them gold medals at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
Michael Crawford served them as a coach, helped them in the acting and artistry side of their performance.
In 1983 Championship-winning routine Barnum, the three of them worked together.
It was based on the West End musical and Michael Crawford played the title role.
Both skaters met in Nottingham and were matched as a pair when they were in their teenage.
Many of their fan from their home city is understandably proud of them and some streets of Nottingham has named after them.

Torvill and Dean won the world’s First Perfect Figure Skating Score
They are not only remembered for their Bolero routine in 1984, but they were awarded the world’s 1rst perfect score.
This was an incredible achievement of them at the World Championship when the circus-themed Barnum routine won them the award.
They were honored with the world’s 1rst perfect figure skating score of nine straight sixes for artistic impression alongside nine 5.9s for technical merit.
Due to their 45 years of togetherness, many people assumed that these skaters are a couple.
But Jayne has been married to American Phil Christensen for 25 years and is the mother of two.
While Christopher Dean also has two kids and has been married twice.
