What is Coronavirus, what are the traits, precautions and which areas in China have been affected?
In China, the first time Coronavirus detected at the end of 2019. Scientists say that it has some similarities to two viruses, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), later both of which turned universal killers.
What is Coronavirus?
WHO (World Health Organization) describes Coronavirus as a large family of viruses, which cause the common cold or severe diseases. Traces of this disease found firstly at a food market in Wuhan, China, which identified at the epicenter of the outbreak. Firstly, it called the “Wuhan virus” by some in China as it emerged in Wuhan (a city of China).
What are the Traits or Symptoms?
There are many common signs that you may be infected; most of them are respiratory problems; shortness of breath, headache, cough.
According to US Centers for disease prevention, body aches, chills, and more severe cases, leads to potentially deadly states such as kidney failure or pneumonia.
Treatment for the new virus is not available; however, scientists have identified signs, allowing health care professionals for quicker diagnosis of those infected.
What are the precautions to protect yourself from Coronavirus?
Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, a member of WHO’s emerging diseases unit, says, “To protect yourself from Coronavirus, avoid unnecessary connection with live animals and make sure that you
wash your hands after the touch with live animals. And the meat should be cooked thoroughly before consuming it.”
Which areas in China have been affected by Coronavirus?
In central China, the government of Wuhan, firstly, confirmed that many patients were striving with pneumonia in hospitals at the end of 2019. Most of the cases linked to the seafood market of Wuhan, which sold animal meats and poultry. Then the market thought to be a source of the virus.
Later, Wuhan’s health commission revealed that the sickness was also present in the people who did not face the market. That’s mean the virus may be present in other locations of this city. After this, the WHO (World Health Organization) warned hospitals around the world.
