Who is Austin Tice? Trump Calls to Release the Kidnapped Journalist of the United States

Who is Austin Tice:  Austin Tice is a freelance news reporter. He belongs to the United States, and on August 14, 2012, he kidnapped while reporting in Syria.

According to the FOX News Channel: On Thursday, during the White House Conference, US President Donald Trump called the government of Syria and asked them to release our news reporter “Austin Tice.”.  

In his conference, Donald Trump said, “Our priority is the recovery of our American citizens that are imprisoned in foreign countries. Our young gentleman, “Austin Tice,” is detained in Syria. We are buckling down with Syria to get him out. We trust the Syrian government will do that. Syria kindly performs this task and help us. If you help us to get recover our journalist, we will appreciate you.”.

Furthermore, Trump said, “The system of Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad was holding Tice. And trump requested that the nation discharge him for the sake of humanity.”.

The family of Austin Tice fought about seven years to keep this case alive. 

Donald Trump also said that he could not confirm, is Austin Tice still alive? But if he is still alive in Syria, we will work hard to get him out as soon as possible.

Statement of Austin Tice’s Mother

Austin Tice’s mom, “Debra,” said a year ago that she’s “sensibly confident” that her child may be found. Also, she showed disappointment at a senior organization official, who has supposedly been blocking his efforts to get him out. 

Debra also credited Donald Trump for pushing harder than the administration of Obama to make sure about her child’s discharge.

In June 2017, the “New York Times” revealed that a CIA Director and “Mike Pompeo” (current Secretary of State) had connected with a Syrian government official with an end goal to make sure about Tice’s discharge.

In an interview, Mike Pompeo said that he called upon the Syrian government to discharge Tice, and some other American prisoners, held in Syria.
