Norma Nunez, the mother of Julissa, alerted a significant organization that her daughter had disappeared two weeks ago. She told Nunez that she was returning from a party and had stopped at a petrol station to get snacks.

At approximately 3:59 a.m., as she was purchasing snacks, she contacted her sister, but her sister was asleep and unable to answer. The household was informed that she called twice in succession at 5:24 and 5:25. Julissa’s father advised her that it was her daughter’s final call and that they would be unable to contact her again.

Nunez also organized a GoFundMe effort to assist her family in locating her daughter. She begged everyone who had heard about the odd incident to aid in the search for her daughter. Nunez advised her to help bring her daughter back home. The campaign has raised $5,065, aiming to raise $10,000.

In addition, the chief of the Selma Police Department, Rudy Alcaraz, addressed the matter and claimed that the case was criminal because her behavior was not typical.
