Affordable audio and smart home options from low-cost camera manufacturers and Gadget maker Wyze is known for its low-cost security camera series, and it is further expanding its core product line to include new devices in the audio and smart home markets.

The company today announced three new products:

a pair of ear-hook noise-canceling headphones, a video doorbell, and a smart thermostat.

Price

And the price of at least one of its new products is indeed competitive. The new Wyze video doorbell is priced at $29.99 and is available for pre-order starting today, while the company’s new headset and thermostat will be available for pre-order on September 29 and October 6. Wyze will not publicly disclose the prices of the last two products before the reservation takes effect, but it is safe to say that Wyze’s pricing will be much lower than most competitors, as is Wyze’s usual practice.

Wyze said its video doorbell requires a hard-wired connection and has 1080p video recording, night vision, IP65 weather resistance, and two-way audio.

It also has the same set of cloud features as the camera, including full-length motion recording and personnel detection with Cam Plus additional subscription services, and two weeks of free cloud storage.

The doorbell also comes with Wyze’s custom wireless ring tones and all the materials needed for installation. If you want to play multiple ring tones at home, the system supports multiple ring tones.

As for headphones,

Wyze’s target market is the mid-range noise reduction market, which is currently occupied by buds and earbuds from companies such as Apple, Bose, and Sony.

Wyze said that its model can provide up to 40dB of noise reduction, which is much higher than Apple’s AirPods Pro, but not as good as Sony’s best-in-class WH-1000XM4.

The product itself looks ordinary, but it has an impressive feature set and sounds like a pair of headphones for less than $100. Wyze stated that it has 20 hours of battery life, dual voice isolation microphones, wear detection, and can pause music when you remove the headset, touch controls, and built-in Amazon Alexa. And the main mobile application for managing devices.
