“Friends of Sophia: Tidbits & Bytes,” a spinoff of the movie “Friends of Sophia,” is currently accepting applications for its six one-minute episodes, which center on the developing connection between a human named Tidbits and a robot named Bytes.

The part of Bytes, the sardonic and sarcastic robot, is being spoken by a male or nonbinary voice actor between the ages of 18 and 30. In addition, a performer between the ages of 18 and 21 is sought for the human role of Tidbits on camera.

The weekend of August 10 will be used for a tech rehearsal, and the week of August 17 in Los Angeles will be used for filming. For either one day of voice work or four days of on-camera work, the rate is $150 per day.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Casting “Friends of Sophia: Tidbits & Bytes,” a Friends of Sophia spinoff (trailer available at friends-of-sophia.com and via the link below).

According to the production: “This spinoff is six quick one-minute episodes that revolve around the developing friendship between a robot named Bytes and a human named Tidbits. Bytes will be a three-dimensional animated robot, and all of Tidbits’ sequences will be shot behind a green screen.

There will also be BTS footage for some YouTube videos that were filmed during production because this project is supported by a tech business that offers real-time previsualization of 3D digital sets and characters and pulls camera data directly into a 3D project file.

An actor who is at ease acting silly in front of a green screen is what we’re searching for. We will film the remaining episodes after we have solidified the technical process with our first episode.

Tidbits is endearing and humorous. He is instantly in love as he sees a robot jump over him. Throughout their developing queer robo relationship, Tidbits experiences a spectrum of emotions, including flirting, bickering, and poignant moments. Since the show’s episodes are all under a minute long, production days will probably only last a few hours. These days of production will be distributed from September through December.
